A Quick Note on Consumables

Alright!

Brian in all his deviousness is looking at becoming a crack addled consumables addict so I need to write down how I treat magical consumable items.

Two ways you guys can buy consumable items

Method 1: Using magic items allocated in your item set builds

You can nominate one or more of your magic items from your item set build to be used for consumable items. You are allowed to spend money equal to the monetary value of that item on as many consumables as you want with a few restrictions.

  • You can only purchase consumables with this money, you cannot for instance, use a lvl 11 slot to buy a lvl 10 item AND some consumables.
  • Heroic level item slots sacrificed for consumables can only purchase consumable items up to a lvl of 12. Paragon level item slots sacrificed for consumables can purchase consumable items up to a lvl of 16. This rule does not apply to the purchasing of Potions of Vitality (Lvl 15) – you just need sufficient money to buy Potions of Vitality.
  • You CAN buy consumables then distribute them around the party at the beginning of the adventure ‘Potion Mule’

Method 2: Use your kitty money to buy these.

No restrictions except that consumables can only be purchased up to a lvl of 16.

Let’s see how messed up this gets… :D
